Penetrating Performance

Clarina Bezzola convinces the audience with her actions. The artist plays with time and pause, with voice songs, rimes and words and gradually, wittnessed by the public, turns her inside towards the outside. "There is an empty space in my heart"; she calls out in English. And "I am in here somewhere" in German. Finally the artist vanishes from the stage completely nude. In a compact delivery she illustrates to the public the intention and the meaning of the exhibition: The constant, insecure, proud, warm-hearted and many times hard confrontation with one self.

Tonight, once again, Clarina Bezzola's performance can be experienced in the Sylt-Quelle, this time in conjunction with a "science dinner". Besides the four-course dinner, a reading by Jenny Erpenbeck and an art talk will be served.
